The Story Of
Logistics Titans

What is a Titan?

Merriam-Webster defines the word “Titan” as: “Any of a family of giants in Greek mythology born of Uranus and Gaea and ruling the earth until overthrown by the Olympian gods.” According to Greek mythology, the Titans were the twelve children of Uranus (Sky) and Gaia (Earth) and the Titans produced the first Olympians: Zeus, Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades, and Poseidon.

Our Name is no Accident:

As Titans in our industry, we will work tirelessly to help you become a Titan in yours.

Our origin story, like that of the Greek Titans of myth, is deeply rooted in family and the power that passes to future generations. Wes Streubing, the Founder and President of Logistics Titans, is the third of a four generation logistics family. As a result, so much of his knowledge and success within logistics has come from his forefathers who built and grew a successful, multi-generational business. In the 1920’s, Wes’s grandfather and great uncle became the recipients of one of the first logistics contracts in California when they founded Westlake Transfer in Los Angeles. His grandfather chartered the business through The Great Depression and for those who know their history, this was a feat unto itself, one that began a heritable, valuable stubbornness with failure pitted on the other side. Wes’s grandmother was also deeply involved in the business, serving as Chairwoman for decades. This was an unusual role for a wife and mother of the time but one that nonetheless served as another strong, savvy family relation that contributed to Wes’s desire to work hard, know things, and succeed.

When applied in the lower-case as, “titan”, the definition shifts to become: “one that is gigantic in size or power: one that stands out for greatness of achievement.”

Together, his Grandparents raised their children, amongst them was Wes’s Father who after receiving his education, returned to work in the family business. He grew the business from a transfer company into a successful, specialized logistics and rigging outfit. From an early age, Wes learned the ins and outs of the family business, starting in customer service, and grew a passion for logistics and excellence. It is because of this that Wes possesses a holistic logistics knowledge base that imbues him with a highly valuable operational perspective. Unlike some who come from a storied family business, Wes grew up in a family that viewed education and constant learning as essential, not a mere nicety. He went to BYU for college where he excelled both in academics and in athletics as a member of the elite BYU football team. He attributes this experience as one of his most challenging pursuits of his early life, balancing two rigorous commitments, as well as other extracurricular interests, while exceeding their respectively high expectations. After college, Wes continued his career in logistics and has since built an impressive resume that has now culminated in the creation of Logistics Titans.

Today, Wes’s son is learning the family trade and starting out the same way his father did, in customer service. Serving the customer and solving problems offers an education that can be applied in many areas of both life and business. In logistics, it lends itself to building a strong foundational understanding. Beyond the learning potential, it also reflects the importance that Logistics Titans places on its customers. Client-driven, Wes also sees the alignment between the Titan’s deriving of power from the growth of their family and his company’s growing customer base that grows the Logistics Titans family each day. While many companies like to parrot to an audience about how they treat their clients like family, at Logistics Titans we actually do. We firmly believe that people will treat others as they are treated. It is the golden rule for a reason. At Logistics Titans, our employees are viewed as family and treated like family and as a result, this treatment comes full circle to our clients. This is a daily practice that is baked-in into our company culture and a huge part of our recipe for success.
